Announcement for the workshop on data acquisition, processing and analyzing for archaeology and cultural properties management. The workshop will be held for 3 days: hands-on seminars on photogrammetry, 3D modelling and processing, AR/VR practice through Sketchfab🔗 will be organized in the day 1 PM and the day 2 AM. Research papers and lightning talks will be given in the day 2 PM and the day 3.
I’ll take part in 1) Hands-on seminar for morphometric information acquisition from 3D model, and 2) will give a paper on 3D Lithic Morphology. Also I’ll give a quick talk on ‘technological form and rotation axis of prehistoric pottery’ in LT session. Community announcement on the call for contribution to CloudCompare UI translation will be made here too.
Unfortunately (de facto) official language is Japanese and no translation service will be provided though…

11/23～25の3連休に、第3回文化財方法論研究会が奈良文化財研究所で開催されます。詳細内容と参加申し込みはこちらから🔗。今回は（も）ハンズオン・セミナーと研究会の組み合わせです。11/24AMにはハンズオンNo.005「３D データから考古資料の形態情報を取り出す」の講師を務めさせていただきます。内容は…先日の横浜WSの超短縮版です。横浜で5時間かけた内容を1時間でやるので、流れをざっと見てもらうだけになると思いますが、よろしければ申し込みを。

研究会では「石器の三次元計測と三次元形態研究2」の発表をします。3D石器科研の概要と進捗報告になります。ライトニングトークでは（無謀にも）土器の形態や軸について3Dの視点から切り込んでみます。たぶん返り討ちでしょう。ClouCompareの日本語化についても報告すると思います。参加申し込みは、上掲の通りPeatixからとなっていますのでお間違いのないよう。
