JSPS Kakenhi Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (C) (17K03232) “Building 3D Lithic Morphology for revealing behaviour, technology and culture of the Upper Palaeolithic in Japanese Archipelago”, aka 3D Lithic Morphology (3DLM) project is aiming on establishing the digital 3D archives for technological and functional analyses of prehistoric stone tools. The main approach of this project is that aggregated application of high resolution 3D measurement techniques including laser scanning and photogrametry on lithic material, searching effective indicators in lithic morphology on acquired data set, maintaining the ground for comparative study of archaeological and experimental material, then integrating the methodology of 3D Lithic Morphology eventually.

日本学術振興会科学研究費助成事業（基盤研究(C)）「3D石器形態研究の確立による日本列島後期旧石器時代の生活・技術・文化の解明（略称：3D石器科研）」（課題番号17K03232）は、先史時代の石器の技術および機能を分析するための3Dデジタル・アーカイヴの構築を目的としています。本プロジェクトでは、レーザー・スキャナ、写真計測などによる高精度3D計測手法を集約的に石器資料に適用し、収集したデータセットから石器形態研究に有効な示標を探索、考古資料と実験製作資料との比較研究の基盤を整備し、それらを総合してあらたな方法論としての3D石器形態研究の確立を目指します。
科研成果の公開共有を含め、3D計測について普及を進めるためのハンズオン・ワークショップを開催します。適宜、ご案内いたします。
